
A la Carte Pool Opening & Closing Services

It's a task that all pool owners encounter every year; opening the pool up in the spring and closing it down in the winter. You can choose from a list of pool opening and closing services at Lothorian Pools to help take the stress off of you, and to ensure that the correct processes are followed. Below you'll see our list of pool winterization and dewinterization services that are available to residents in the Baltimore, Carroll and Harford County areas.
Weekly visits from October 16th through March 14th. Weekly services include the following:
- Check and clean debris from skimmers.
- Clean watermark tile.
- Brush steps and benches.
- Check and analyze water chemistry (chemicals included).
- Adjust stabilization chemicals (pH, alkalinity, chlorine).
- Backwash filter as required (D.E. INCLUDED).
- Check and fill automatic chemical feeders (chemicals included).
- Perform system check, including lights, heater, blower, controls.
- Emergency oncall phone service, at applicable rates.
Biweekly visits from October 16th through March 14th. Biweekly services include the following:

This plan includes three visits over the course of the winter months to monitor water levels, adjust water chemistry (chemicals included), inspect the cover and ensure that all winter plugs are still in place. This service is a great way to prevent unexpected repairs in the spring.
For our homeowners on a well, we recommend a scheduled 3,000 gallon water delivery by tanker truck. To avoid a return trip charge, please ensure that the water level is to the top of the tile line on your scheduled opening date.
Lothorian will store your cover in our warehouse, Lothorian Pools will not be responsible for holes in the cover due to mice, insects, abrasions, transport, storage or handling.
